Morning Coffee - Take It to the Lord

Print this Article

Good morning! Here's my thoughts on today's devotional.

"Remember the word unto Thy servant, upon which Thou hast caused me to hope."
--Psalm 119:49

Dr. Spurgeon brings out in this message for us to remember that whatever God has promised us, He will do if only we ask it of Him. For example, if we have left our fellowship with God, he said to us, "Return to Me, and I will return to you." We have to take the first step...God hasn't moved, we have. Another example he brought out was wanting closer communion and fellowship with God. God said, "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." Don't we all want that? I know I do...I am so guilty sometimes of thinking that I deserve God's blessings. But guess what? None of us do. But He was willing to become a man, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again from the dead so we could have eternal life. Wow! What a wonderful gift! And it's there for the taking. If you haven't accepted Christ, and called upon God to give you this wonderful gift...what on earth are you waiting for?

Remember, God loves us and will supply our every need. We must be humble enough to bring those needs before Him. Whatever God has promised us, He will do if only we ask.
