Why the Secretary of Defense??

Print this Article

Well, I said I'd do it...So here are my thoughts, albeit short, on last night's wonderful '24' episode...I totally stunned by what happened last night. I never imagined they would kill off the Secretary of Defense (William Devane)! Definitely one of the more emotional scenes from this season, in my opinion. Especially when Jack grabbed Christopher Henderson and asked, "What have you done??" Keifer Sutherland was really allowing Jack Bauer to show his emotions. Audrey Raines (Kim Raver) gave a wonderful performance as the distraught daughter, as usual.

President Logan (Gregory Itzin) told the First Lady, Martha Logan (Jean Smart) that he was behind everything that happened "today"...but he didn't mean to have former President Palmer killed (of course not!! haha..) Jean Smart was excellent again last night. I still can't believe the cast they've assembled this season. All of them have done a terrific job. However, I still am having withdrawals from Tony and Michelle not being on the show this season (They will forever be missed!)

I'm still puzzled as what could have happened to Aaron Pierce...where could he be? Did they really transfer him, or was he "silenced"? I think I am becoming numbed to all of the characters they have killed off this season! Wow!! I am beginning to wonder just how in the world they will be able to top this year's season. But, we have at least 3 MORE SEASONS of 24!! Yeah!

Well, I better wrap this up for tonight...More to come later.
