Word of the Day - otiose

otiose \OH-shee-ohs; OH-tee-\, adjective:
1. Ineffective; futile.
2. Being at leisure; lazy; indolent; idle.
3. Of no use.

Otiose is from Latin otiosus, "idle, at leisure," from otium, "leisure."
